Westborough man cited for accident after rolling car over
Westborough – Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon issued this statement this afternoon:
On 11/14/12, at approximately 2:18 AM, the Westborough Police Department responded to the area of 67 Ruggles St. for a single vehicle accident. The arriving units located a 02 Lexus RX300 rolled over in the street. The vehicle was unoccupied at that time.
The Officers responded to 22 Olde Meetinghouse Rd. Westborough and spoke with the owner of the vehicle, who was also the operator during the accident. He was identified as Sean P. Jordan, age 44 of 22 Olde Meetinghouse Rd. He was not injured in the accident.
The accident was investigated by Off. Paul Pinto. The investigation showed that Jordan became distracted while driving the vehicle. The vehicle hit the curb on the right side of Ruggles St., struck a mailbox and a utility pole and then rolled over.
Jordan was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle so as to endanger, failure to keep within marked lanes and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He will appear at the WDC at a later date.
