Two-alarm fire destroys Westborough barn

Westborough –A converted barn located at 221 Milk St. was destroyed in a two-alarm blaze early this morning. The structure, which was owned by the Borglund family, was located behind their home, which was not damaged.

According to Fire Captain Robert Rand, the homeowners were alerted to the fire by a limousine driver passing by at approximately 2 a.m.  Crews from Grafton, Hopkinton, Northborough, Shrewsbury, and Southborough assisted Westborough firefighters in extinguishing  the blaze,  Rand said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Rand.
