Shrewsbury PD identify pedestrian in fatal Route 20 accident
Shrewsbury –Update: The Shrewsbury Police Department has released the name of the pedestrian fatally struck while attempting to cross Route 20 yesterday:
On Thursday November 29th 2012 at 5:56 pm the Shrewsbury Police investigated an accident involving a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the vicinity of #200 Hartford Turnpike (Route 20).
Shrewsbury Police and Fire along with U-Mass Paramedics treated the victim who was transported to U-Mass University Campus Hospital and was later pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Timothy J. Sullivan , of Shrewsbury Ma., 48 years old.
The accident remains under investigation by Officer Richard H Fiske, Shrewsbury Police Accident Reconstructionist.

On Thursday November 29th 2012 at 5:56 pm the Shrewsbury Police were dispatched to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the vicinity of #200 Hartford Turnpike (Route 20). Upon arrival police determined that a vehicle was traveling East on Route 20 when it struck the victim who was attempting to cross Rt. 20 in the vicinity of Edgemere Trailer Park.
Shrewsbury Police and Fire along with U-Mass Paramedics treated the victim who was transported to U-Mass University Campus Hospital and was later pronounced dead. The operator of the motor vehicle was uninjured.
The vehicle was a 2010 Jeep Liberty operated by Joanne Breault of Jericho Vt. The identification of the pedestrian is being withheld upon notification of next of kin.
The accident is under investigation by Officer Richard H Fiske, Shrewsbury Police Accident Reconstructionist. Assisting in the investigation was the Central Mass Law Enforcement Regional Reconstruction Team.
