Southborough – Preparations are underway for the 35th annual Santa's Wonderland to be held at the Southborough Community House, 28 Main St. The highly anticipated event is organized by Kindergroup and sponsored by local businesses. It will take place Saturday, Dec. 15, from 12 to 3 p.m.

As part of “Santa Day,” Santa and his elf, Tessa Herbold, the Kindergroup Committee chair, will arrive via helicopter onto St. Mark's field (on the corner of routes 85 and 30) at noon. Children and their families will greet Santa as he makes his way across the field to the Community House. At the Community House, there will be live music and entertainment, freshly baked cupcakes and cookies, hot chocolate, and crafts for the children.?Additionally, the children will be able to sit on Santa's lap, share their “wish lists,” and have their photos taken with him.

The cost for admittance is $5 per child or $10 per family – photo included. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

“A portion of the proceeds from Santa Day will go to charity.?Each year Kindergroup determines how best to pledge these funds, based on the needs of the community,” Herbold said.

To ensure the safety of all children, adults are strongly advised to respect the safety parameters around Santa's arrival area.
