Algonquin easily defeats Marlborough in season opener

Northborough – Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) boys basketball kicked off its season by hosting Marlborough High School (MHS) on Dec. 7 in Northborough.

New ARHS coach Brian Doherty’s team came out shooting and quickly went up 12-0; MHS didn’t score their first points until the 3:44 mark of the first quarter.  Leading 25-6 at the half, ARHS never trailed for the entire game, winning 67-35. (Photos/Chris Wraight)
