A Victorian Christmas comes to Hudson

Hudson – Anne Barrett, in character as “Victoria Yule,” shared her Christmas 1895 celebration plans at the Hudson Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 8. After welcoming program attendants to her “home,” “Victoria” showed them the presents she will be exchanging with her family, shared her Christmas meal plans and explained the history of Christmas trees and Christmas cards. Attendants also learned about wassailing and listened to readings of Charles Dickens’ Christmas stories.
