Region – Here are the Community Advocate's top six stories for Dec. 10 to Dec. 15:

1. Members of the community and the toy giant Hasbro came to the rescue of a Shrewsbury church, St. ?Anne's, after thieves stole presents donated for children in need.


2. Fallon Community Health Care also provided a big boost to the church when it replaced gift cards that were stolen during the burglary. ?


3. A Shrewsbury man unwittingly found himself in the spotlight after an interaction with anti-Obama protestors.


4. Westborough will soon have a new restaurant and brew pub. ?


5. Fans came from as far away as Connecticut for the opportunity to buy what many consider the best beer in the world.


6. Marlborough officials are thrilled with the news that the city will receive a large grant to help renovate Memorial Beach. ?


Rick Hoyt, who with his father Dick makes up the iconic father-son duo Team Hoyt, appeared at Tatnuck Bookseller Saturday, Dec. 15 to promote his new book, “One Letter at a Time.”
