Hudson – Jacquelyn H. Tierney, 77, of Hudson, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter F. Tierney of Hudson.

Jacquelyn was born in Medford, daughter of the late John and Mary (Merlin) McCarthy. She spent most of her younger years in the Boston area and was a graduate of Most Holy Reedemer High School in Boston. She later received her Nursing Degree from the Catherine Labourne School of Nursing in Boston. Jacquelyn has resided in Hudson the past 47 years and was employed as a Registered Nurse at Marlborough Hospital for many years until her retirement.

Jacquelyn was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She truly enjoyed all the times she shared with her family and especially looked forward to the summer vacations with family on Cape Cod.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathleen McCarthy and her husband Daniel of Marlborough, Andrew Tierney and his wife Melanie of Richmond, RI, Steven Tierney and his wife Erin of Webster, and Judith Crouse and her husband John of Bethel, CT, and was predeceased by her son, Kevin Tierney in 1993. She is also survived by her two brothers, Dennis McCarthy of Temecula, CA, and Gerald McCarthy of Leyden; her sister, Kathleen Kenahan of Webster; her 12 grandchildren, Jackie, Connor, Erin and Hannah McCarthy, Kevin and Sloane Tierney, Emma, Caroline and Nicholas Crouse, Patrick Tierney, Brandon and Ryan Curtis; and her many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 11:00 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Monday, Dec. 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
