Saint Michael Parish of Hudson sponsors bicycle collection drive

Hudson – Do you have any old/newer mountain, road, BMX, adult or kid's bikes? If so, please consider donating your bicycle to the Saint Michael Parish Bikes for Africa drive. The bicycles will be fixed, if needed, and reused. Most of the bicycles will be going to Ghana, Africa, where they are very much needed.

Bikes for Africa is offering a home or business pick-up service. Please email Dennis Wood at denwaynewood@yahoo.com or call 508-277-7513 to arrange a day and time. In addition, sewing machines are also being collected.

Bikes provide power and opportunity, allowing people to lift themselves from poverty. Riding a bike is four times faster than walking, the only choice for millions of Africans. People with bikes get to schools, markets, farms and health care in one-fourth the time, improving their lives and economic futures.
