Westborough boys’ basketball loses close match to Leominster

Westborough – Westborough High School (WHS) boys” basketball hosted Leominster High School (LHS) on Dec. 19 in Westborough.? WHS got off to a strong start, leading 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, and extended the lead to 26-16 at the half.

However, LHS started to nibble away at WHS's lead and by the end of the third quarter, were within one, cutting WHS's lead to 29-28.? With a little over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, LHS pulled ahead 33-31 and while WHS would get close, LHS never relinquished the lead and won 43-41.
