Marlborough – She can be found impeccably dressed by 7 a.m. seven days a week, preparing to pick up bread, muffins and other food assortments from local Marlborough merchants. Once she has packed her car, she drops off donations to Roland’s House – Marlborough-Hudson Homeless Shelter; the Marlborough Community Cupboard – Food Pantry; three senior living communities; and the Senior Center. Rain, ice or snow will not deter her efforts to ensure her Marlborough neighbors do not go hungry.

Westborough – Westborough officials issued this statement this morning: The 3rd quarter real estate bills have been sent and are due FEBRUARY 1, 2013. Some bills show a May 1 due date which is incorrect. New bills are being issued by the printing company and will say “CORRECTED DUE DATE”.

Marlborough –The nonprofit Sweats for Vets recently announced that it exceeded its goal of obtaining Boston-based sports team sweatshirts. Not only did every homeless veteran affiliated with Vets Inc. of Shrewsbury get a sweatshirt – a total of 260 – but an additional 240 sweatshirts were donated to the VA hospital in Bedford.
