Richard P. Cook, 79

Millbury – Richard P. Cook, of Millbury, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 in Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence. He was 79.

Richard was born Nov. 4, 1923 in Worcester, a son of the late Roland and Lelia (Brown) Cook, and lived many years in Shrewsbury before moving to Millbury.

Richard was self-employed in various capacities in maintenance work.

All are invited to honor and remember Richard’s life by gathering Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center. His funeral service will be follow at 12 p.m., with burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Honor his memory with a contribution to Shrewsbury Youth Family Services, 240 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
