Marlborough – Barbara (Barry) Kelly, 85, of Marlborough, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at New Horizons, Marlborough.
Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ida (White) Barry. She had been the wife of the late John Kelly for 63 years prior to his death in 2011. A graduate of Newton North High School and a Newton resident for 73 years before moving to Marlborough, she had been employed as an assembler for the Raytheon Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1987.
She enjoyed a long, fulfilling life and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her family dearly and was loved by all.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Kelly and his wife Marion of Holliston and Michael Kelly and his wife Denise of Stow; her grandchildren, Brian Kelly, Paige Kelly, Shauna Wilkinson and her husband Matthew, Amanda Kelly, Erin Kelly and Jeffrey Kelly; her great grandchildren, Freya and Andrew Wilkinson; her brothers and sisters-in- law, Michael and Janet Kelly of Norwood and James and Katherine Kelly of Newton; her sisters-in-law; Janet Kelly of Hudson and Carol Kelly of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John Barry and his wife Betty Jo, Betty Adams and her husband Barney, and Margaret Snow and her husband Ken, and the sister- in-law of the late Paul and Barney Kelly.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough.Visiting hours will be held Monday, Jan. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will be held at a later date.
