Rose M. Spence McMorrow, 55Westborough – Rose M. Spence McMorrow, 55, of Westborough, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is the wife of John P. McMorrow, Esq. and proud mother of Sarah M. Spence and Kelly A. Spence, both of Westborough. Rose also enjoyed the love and presence of John's children, Peggy and Jack McMorrow.

Rose was born on April 12, 1957 in Ida Grove, Iowa. She is the daughter of Marian H. (Taphorn) Roeder and the late Urban F. Roeder.

In addition to her husband, children and mother, Rose is survived by her mother-in-law, Nora McMorrow and her former husband and the father of her daughters, William M. Spence. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathleen Connors, Paul Roeder, Peter Roeder, Francis Roeder, David Roeder, Darlene Hentges, Aggie Gustafson, Margaret Spikes, Mary Jane Recker, Angela Welch, Joseph Roeder, and Judy Krueger.

Rose graduated from Crestwood H.S. (Class of “75) in Cresco, Iowa and Iowa State University (Class of “79), where she received her bachelor's degree in horticulture. She was the Vice President of Regional Sales for Allied Solutions, where she worked for 30 years.

Rose has been a resident of Westborough since 1994. Her children were educated in Westborough schools. She was in active in her children's school activities and coached her daughters in community basketball and softball.

She was an avid gardener and loved to play golf. She and John were members of the Westborough Country Club. She also enjoyed growing hybrid tea roses and making homemade raspberry preserves.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rose's wake on Friday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, Westborough, and are also invited to attend a graveside service to be held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11:30 a.m., in the Old Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.
