Northborough – On January 17 Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) gymnastics hosted Westborough High School (WHS).  Earlier in the week, WHS had handed ARHS its first loss of the season and this match was critical to see how ARHS, the two-time defending state champions would respond.

WHS took the vault by a 0.10 margin, but ARHS won the bars and balance beam.  WHS took the last event, the floor exercise, by a narrow margin but it wasn’t enough as ARHS won the competition, 140.55 to 138.2.
