Northborough – The Friends of the Northborough Senior Center will be holding its ninth annual “Chocolate Spectacular” this year but with a twist. This year, with the addition of tasty appetizers, the event will be a “savory and sweet experience,” organizers said.

The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Whitney Place, 238 West Main St., Northborough. (Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 10).

Guests will enjoy the expanded array of treats with wine, plus piano music by Ed McCarron, while browsing the silent auction of gift certificates and other donations from local restaurants and businesses.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased prior to the event at Whitney Place, Shattuck Pharmacy, and the Senior Center. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Friends” fundraising efforts help support activities and programs at the Senior Center. For more information, go to http://www.friendsofnorthboroughseniors.org.
