It seems to me that what Selco is doing is preparing for those of us that presently are in their mid 50's and are baby boomers to not lose a lot of revenue in the future. Many professionals who helped build the infrastructure of the cable system 10+ years are part of the group and I would bet there are many. I feel that the cable system is falling behind other cable companies technology wise. Whole house DVR, and the ability to watch shows on laptops, phones and tablets being another. And you are right Joe, the only other choice is Dish or DirectTV. If I had the chance I would jump at FIOS if it was available. Look at the number of people now with extended, HD and DVR, that should be a significant revenue increase. And paying $40 for phone service that runs piggy back with your internet is a total injustice. AT&T has a wireless box that's anywhere between $9.99 or $19.99 which is much more in line with what it should be.

Megabytes. Not megabites. Will anything be done about the increasing number of glitches in HD programming? It seems there's a new problem every day: sound drops, pixelation, stuttering, even the dreaded "Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to subscribe to this channel" screen while watching a channel I'm already subscribed to. It's really getting annoying, and our only choice is to move to Dish or DirecTV. I'm all for discounts for seniors, but let's get the service up to snuff too.
