Seems like time to realign

Northborough – Last year’s hiring of DPW Director Dan Nason prompted a department review that has resulted in a proposal to re-organize the DPW. The proposed plan includes both the creation and elimination of certain positions, some of which are currently vacant due to past budget cuts. In addition, the re-organization seeks to transfer responsibilities from one position to another while moving the town engineer into the DPW.

The ultimate goal, according to Town Administrator John Coderre, is to allow Nason’s focus to shift from day-to-day operations to longer-term projects. A plan for the proposed re-organization has been presented to the Board of Selectmen and will be voted on by residents at Town Meeting this spring.
