Southborough police log, Jan. 25 edition

Friday, Jan. 11

5:19 a.m. A motorist from Malden was issued a Criminal Application for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

9:29 a.m. The traffic lights at Boston Road and Firmin Ave were reported to be malfunctioning. Mass DOT was notified and responded to the scene.

10:17 a.m. Officers assisted a Walnut Drive resident with a domestic issue.

2:29 p.m. Officers investigated a two-car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.

3:29 p.m. A Pine Hill Road resident called to report that someone was banging on their front door. Responding officers reported back negative findings at the residence.

4:55 p.m. An officer on patrol witnessed and reported a two-car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.

5:48 p.m. Officers investigated a two-car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.

9:18 p.m. Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Framingham Road resident.

Saturday, Jan. 12

1:36 a.m. An officer responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of individuals attempting to flag down cars. The responding officer located individuals and assisted them with directions.

1:46 a.m. A medical was reported at a North Street residence.

6:08 a.m. Southborough Officers assisted Marlborough Police with a civilian transport.

10:42 a.m. Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

Sunday, Jan. 13

12:09 a.m. Officers responded to a Woodland Road residence to investigate a noise complaint.

12:50 a.m. Arrested, Melissa Bates of Maple Avenue in Upton. Ms. Bates was charged with OUI alcohol after a motor vehicle accident on Flagg Road.

12:57 p.m. An officer investigated a report of two kids with a dog on the ice near Cordaville Road. The responding officer reported negative findings in the area.

1:19 p.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Gilmore Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.

2:28 p.m. Officers responded to a Turnpike Road hotel to investigate a report of damage done to one of the rooms. A follow-up investigation was conducted, and no charges are expected to be filed.

9:42 p.m. Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officers reported back negative findings.

10:29 p.m. Officers responded to a Deerfoot Road residence to investigate a barking dog complaint. The dog was located and the owners were advised of the complaint.

The information from the police log is obtained directly from the official records maintained at each police station in our circulation area. It contains arrests and samplings of police activity. Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty. The Community Advocate will publish news of acquittals upon notification and a copy of court-issued documentation.
