Southborough Police issue morning commute alert

Southborough – The Southborough Police Department is alerting morning commuters to expect a significant traffic back-up on Route 9 East for tomorrow (Monday, Jan. 28) morning. They issued this press release earlier this evening:

There has been a water main break on Turnpike Road (Route 9 Eastbound) in front of the Chinese Gospel Church. Traffic will be down to one lane of travel while the area is being repaired. We have been told that the repair work will continue through the night and into the morning. THIS WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC PROBLEMS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE! We suggest preparing for this delay in advance. Thank you.
