Colonials hold off Marlborough to win boys’ basketball match

Marlborough – The Marlborough High School (MHS) Panthers hosted the Shrewsbury High School (SHS) Colonials for a non-league boys’ basketball matchup Feb. 15 in Marlborough.  SHS got off to an early start and led 44-30 at the first half.

In the second half, the Panthers stepped up their defense and closed the gap, coming to within three points (64-67) with 38.7 seconds remaining.  However, Shrewsbury kept their cool and prevailed 71-64.
