Westborough Police make arrests at TransCanada demonstration
Westborough – Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon has released a press statement after a morning incident at TransCanada:
On 3/11/13, at approximately 10:55 AM, the Westborough Police responded to 110 Turnpike Rd. for a report a people who were blocking the entranceway into TransCanada. The arriving units located a group of approximately 100 individuals who were singing and blocking the main entry into the office.
The group was advised that they were trespassing and were subject to arrest if they did not leave voluntarily. Most left the building. Twenty five individuals, who had handcuffed themselves together, refused to leave. They were all arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. They were transported to the Police Department where they were booked and held to await the bail commissioner. They will appear in WDC on Tuesday morning.
