Marlborough – Mayree A. (L”Ecuyer) Libby, 76, of Marlborough, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Albert F. Libby of Marlborough.

Mayree was born and raised in Athol, daughter of the late Fabien and Hazel (Turner) L”Ecuyer. She attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Athol High School. She later attended Franklin County School of Nursing, where she received her Nursing Degree.

As a Registered Nurse, she practiced in the field of Psychiatric Medicine for many years until her retirement in 2004. Her extensive background included positions with MASS Mental Health, Metropolitan State Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, McLean Hospital, serving as an administrator; and as an investigator with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/Internal Affairs with the Department of Mental Health. She was a longtime resident of Hudson and former member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

Mayree was a devoted and loving wife, loving mother, and grandmother, and truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She looked forward to their family gatherings weekly and all the special occasions, including the holidays.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Laurie Childs and her husband Mark of Marlborough, Larry Libby and his wife Jennifer of Hudson, and Dan Libby and his wife Jo-Anne of Norfolk. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Andrew, Evan and Catie Childs, AJ and Sarah Libby, Nicole Ruiz, Paul and Matt Libby; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Connie Newell of New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claire Gillis and Jeanne Matracia.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, March 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
