Two Shrewsbury ‘Destination Imagination’ teams going to state finals

Shrewsbury – Ten Shrewsbury Public Schools Destination Imagination (DI) Teams competed at the DI Regional Tournament held at Millbury High School March 16. Six teams placed in the top three. Two

Middle School Team Three

of the teams placed first and will go on to compete at the DI State Tournament Saturday, March 30, at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This is the third year in a row that Shrewsbury DI teams will advance to the state level.

Elementary Team Two placed first in the Wind Visible (Science) Challenge.  Team members, all from the Floral School, include:  Shalini Ambady, Toyesh Kumar Jayaswal, Aabia Hasan, Akshay Ganesh, Divya Raghunathan, Harika Lingamarla and Nicole Karadimitriou.  Parent team managers are Amber Khan, Sridevi Lingamarla and Anjana Ganesh.

Middle School Team Three placed first in the Twist-O-Rama (Structural) Challenge. Team members, all from the Oak Middle School, include:  Aastha Gupta, Srujana Tammisetti, Sruthi Takillapati and Ira Saini. Parent team managers are Anil Gupta and Rama Susarla.
