Marlborough – Long-time television personality and current WEEI Sports Radio host Mike “Mikey” Adams will take the hot seat as this year’s “Roastee” at the Employment Options celebrity roast.

The annual event will take place at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, Thursday, May 16, starting at 6 p.m.

The agency said the head table of “Roasters” will be announced soon, but the first confirmed is Bill “The Spaceman” Lee, a former Boston Red Sox pitcher. Lee, known for his witty and hilarious comments, will be the first of many celebrities to roast Adams, honoring his long career in broadcasting.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by calling Employment Options at 508-485-5051 or visiting the website www.employmentoptions.org/roast13.htm.

The master of ceremonies for the event will be veteran TV reporter/anchor Eileen Curran. Sponsors for the event include Bob’s Discount Furniture and Marlborough Savings Bank.

According to its website, Employment Options, based in Marlborough, serves individuals and families in recovery, including those who have experienced economic disadvantages.
