Barbara M. Pasquale, 79

Obit Barbara PasqualeShrewsbury -Barbara M. (Brewer) Pasquale, 79, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully Monday, April 1, 2013 in the Christopher House, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vincent Pasquale; three sons, Anthony E. Pasquale and his wife Karen of Millbury, Michael V. Pasquale of Shrewsbury, and Steven M. Pasquale and his wife Julie of Shrewsbury; a brother, Eugene Turner of California; four grandchildren, Arielle and Nathan Pasquale of Millbury and Nicholas and Alex Pasquale of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born in Millbury, the daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Turner) Brewer. She grew up in South Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School in 1952. She later moved to Shrewsbury and had lived there for 53 years.

She worked as a supervisor in the subrogation department of Liberty Mutual for over 20 years before her retirement in 1992. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury.

Barbara was a devoted Red Sox fan; enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas and Cape Cod.

The Pasquale family would like to thank her nurses and nurse’s aides at the Christopher House for the care and compassion given to Barbara over the last two years.

Services for Barbara will be held Friday, April 5, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 4, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Dr., Worcester, MA. 01605 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
