Fundraiser for Autism to be held April 28

By Joyce DeWallace, Contributing Writer

SH K Carey rsRegion – The Carey family of Shrewsbury has three sons who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum.  As such, they are actively involved with the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts.

They would like to urge other families, friends and the community-at-large who wishes to contribute to be part of the 13th Annual Community Walk for Autism.  This five-mile event will take place Sunday, April 28 at Lake Park in Worcester.

Funds raised at the walk, which are tax deductible, will be used for family activities, updating the resource center and providing more programs. Online donations can be made through the Careys’ fund raising page at www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/kelly-carey/autismwalk.  Checks may be made payable to The Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts, 71 Sterling St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
