Shrewsbury Garden Party to be held June 15

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Celebration in the Garden Party Committee has announced that its Fifth Annual Garden Party to benefit the Shrewsbury Public Schools will be held Saturday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m. The party will take place once again at the home of Heather and Jason Logrippo, the Fallon House, 4 Prospect Road.

The garden party, in its first four years, has raised nearly $100,000. It is the committee’s goal to raise half of that amount this time around, according to a press release from the group.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by “Tension,” a dance-rock band that covers everything from AC/DC and Aerosmith to The Beatles.  Tension is sponsored by Beaton Kane Construction Company. Dinner will be served by Pepper’s Fine Catering.

The Presenting Sponsor is The 15-40 Connection, proudly donated by Columbia Tech, a Coghlin Company.  Other sponsors include: Foundation Sponsor – HairLines; Spirits Sponsor – Expose Yourself PR; Wine Sponsors – Excelsior Wines, the distributor of Five Rivers and Global Wines, Inc.; Signature Cocktail Sponsor – Shrewsbury Counseling Center; Dessert Sponsor – CocoBeni Confections and, once again, the Diamond Extraordinaire Sponsor – Jennifer Briggs Jenkins of J. Briggs & Co., located in Northborough.

Organizers said they are “thrilled” to welcome new sponsor Heart and Stone Jewelry in Northborough as the Silver Sponsor this year.

This year’s Garden Party Host Committee includes: Whitney Andrews, Maribeth Boisvert, Brenda Buckley, Sarah Cole Camerer, Beth Casavant, Mary Casey, Christa Duprey, Maureen Harrington, Hannah Kane, Kathleen Keohane, Heather Logrippo, Debra Page Mooney, Maria Munro, Kimberly Nobrega, Melanie Petrucci, Melissa Pride-Fahs and Caroline Schultz.

The public is also invited to a Shopping Night hosted by the Garden Party Committee at the Jenny Boston boutique, 45 Main St., Westborough, Thursday, April 25, 7 to 9 p.m. For more details, contact Maria Munro at munromaria@msn.com.
