Announcing You Go, Girl! 2013 summer program for girls

Shrewsbury/Westborough – This summer, Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, through its Partnership For Healthy Pathways Initiative with Westborough Youth and Family Services, will once again offer “You Go, Girl!,” a youth development program and group for girls age 11 to 14. The program will be held at the Forbes Municipal Building in Westborough from July 22 through Aug. 15 (Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.)  Appropriately named You Go, Girl!, this group is designed to promote healthy living and lifestyles, encourage positive peer and female relationships, and build self-esteem and confidence in girls.

Led by a group of committed staff members, the program will cover such topics as self-image, bullying, peer pressure, nutrition, teamwork, trust, exercise, social responsibility and finding positive role models.
