Born in New Glasgow, N.S., “Nana Mac” was the daughter of the late John A. and Rena (Stewart) MacMillan. She taught school in Meiklefield and Blue Mountain before her marriage. The family moved from Blue Mountain to New Glasgow and then to Massachusetts 50 years ago.

Mom was very involved in her church community in Hudson, including a turn in the handbell choir and Bible study groups. She worked for Digital Equipment Corporation until just before her 80th birthday. Her favorite pastimes included knitting and working in her flower garden, which was an outstanding display at her home, first in Gleasondale and later in Hudson. She also enjoyed doing the daily crossword puzzles.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband C. Edgar, son Glenn, and sister Christine Maynard.
