Local Memorial Day parades to be held Monday, May 27

Flags Memorial DayRegion ?Here is information for the Memorial Day parades that will be held in the region, Monday, May 27.

Hudson – Starts at Hudson AMVETS Post 208, 5 South Street, 10 a.m. and then travels on Main Street. It ends with a ceremony at Liberty Park at Wood Square.

Marlborough – Starts at 10 a.m. at the American Legion headquarters on Maple Street. The parade will march from the Legion Post to Main Street, and finish at Monument Square.

Northborough – Starts at 12 p.m., mustering on Monroe Street at 11:30 a.m. Best viewing of the parade is on Main, Church, and Howard streets.

Shrewsbury – Starts at 9:30 a.m., departing from the Richard D. Carney Municipal Office Building, 100 Maple Ave. The memorial address at the town center will be given by Shrewsbury resident Seamus Shanley, a United States Marine Corps veteran and a Worcester firefighter.

Southborough – Starts at 9 a.m. at the Marlborough Savings Bank, 6 E. Main St.

Westborough ?All participants meet at the VFW Post 9013 on Milk Street. Buses will go to Pine Grove and Midland cemeteries, then onto the Forbes Municipal Building at 10:15 a.m.
