Westborough – Lois Margaret (Moran) Horgan of Westborough, formerly of Venice, Fla. and Belmont, passed away peacefully at 83 years of age Thursday, May 30, 2013.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Timothy J. Horgan, former sports columnist for the Boston Herald. She was the proud mother of five sons, Timothy J. Horgan, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Westborough; Dr Matthew D. Horgan and his wife Elizabeth of Bath, Me.; Christopher P. Horgan of Sudbury and former wife Debra Horgan of Dracut; Brian J. Horgan of Buffalo, N.Y.; and attorney Robert C. Horgan and his wife Caroline of Medfield. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by three grandsons.

She attended Mt. Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton and was the past president of the Junior Guild of the Infant Savior. She worked at Saint Paul Church in Cambridge.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 5 p.m.
