Patriots narrowly defeat Shrewsbury patrolmen in softball

SH patrolman softballShrewsbury – Shrewsbury Police Patrolman’s Local 426 in conjunction with All Pro hosted a charity softball game against past and present New England Patriots players June 1 at Shrewsbury High School.

Local 426 put up a great fight, and led up until the sixth inning, but then the Patriots scored five runs, to win the game 8-5.

Current Patriots players included: Matt Slater, Ryan Mallett, Daniel Fells, Zoltan Mesko and Dane Fletcher. Alumni players included: Mark LeVoir, Patrick Pass, Jermaine Wiggins, Kevin Faulk and Ed Ellis.

“The game’s weather was perfect and the game was very entertaining for both the police officers who played and the fans who attended the game,” Officer David Faucher said. “The efforts of All Pro in putting the game together is very much appreciated and we are already looking forward to next year’s game.”
