Local residents graduate from Naval Academy

Coat_Of_Arms_Of_The_U_S_Naval_Academy rsSouthborough – Navy Ensign Jacqueline A. Drew, a 2009 graduate of St. Mark's High School, Southborough, and Navy Ensign Elizabeth G. Hegarty, daughter of James F. Hegarty of Southborough, recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and were commissioned to their current rank. Hegarty is a 2009 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School. The two women successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional training. As graduates of the Naval Academy, they completed a four-year, total-immersion program where the academic program focused on the educational needs of the Navy and Marine Corps in a strict, professional military training environment emphasizing the development of leadership skills.
