Hudson – Donald L. Weaver Sr., 79, of Hudson, formerly of Maynard, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean A. (Myshrall) Weaver of Hudson.
Donald was born and raised in Muskegeon, Mich., son of the late Herbert and Georgia (Shaul) Weaver. He attended local schools and was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Weaver Machining of Maynard for many years until retiring in 2006. He resided in Maynard for 45 years prior to residing in Hudson the past seven years.
Donald was a member and President of the Crowe Island Radio Control Flying Club. He was an avid candlepin bowler and was a member of the Acton Bowladrome League. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and playing golf in his spare time. He was a loving husband, father and truly enjoyed the times he shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his six children, Donald L. Weaver Jr. and his wife Barbara of Hudson, Deborah Deyoung of Hudson, James M. Weaver and his wife Susan of New Durham, N.H., Janice Guarino and her husband Joseph of North Carolina, Dale A. Weaver and his wife Lorraine of Randolph, and Diane Lockhart and her husband Bruce of Saco, Maine. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Daniel Weaver, Michael Weaver, Nicole Weaver, Stacy Weaver-Sweeney, Brooke Lockhart-Likens, Matthew Weaver, Dale Weaver Jr., and Bruce Lockhart Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Lawrence “Bo” Weaver of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of Donald's life will be held Wednesday, July 3, at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Family and friends may visit with the family from 6:30 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
