Shrewsbury Police seek suspect in armed robbery

Police 1Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Police Department issued this press release this afternoon and are seeking the public’s help:

On Tuesday, August 13th 2013 at 11:43 PM the Shrewsbury Police responded to #271 Boston Turnpike (Shell Station) for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival Shrewsbury Police confirmed the suspect had fled the store and no injuries were reported.

It appears a lone suspect entered the store displaying a handgun demanding cash from the clerk. The suspect then fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect is described as a white male, late twenties to early thirties, 5’8”-6’00”, stocky build, extremely pale round face, scruffy blond goatee, tinted glasses, black hoodie sweatshirt. Shrewsbury Police searched the area along with the Mass State Police K-9 but the suspect eluded Police. Any information please contact Detective Sgt.
