Police seek suspect in alleged Motel 6 armed robbery

policeNorthborough – The Northborough Police Department released this statement this morning:

On August 20, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m.  the Northborough Police responded to the Motel 6 on Route 9 for a reported armed robbery involving a gun.

It was reported that the front desk clerk had been held at gun point and was ordered to hand over cash. The clerk complied with the suspect’s orders and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

A search for the suspect was conducted to no avail. The Northborough Police were assisted by the Shrewsbury Police, Westborough Police, and the Massachusetts State Police. A state police K9 also assisted in the search.

The matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Northborough Police Detectives at 508-393-1522.
