Hudson – William J. “Bill” Prendergast, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, Aug. 30, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Nancy L. (Denisevich) Prendergast, to whom he was married 34 years.
Born in South Boston Dec. 19, 1950, he was the son of Elizabeth M. (Fay) Prendergast and the late William J. Prendergast Jr. of Sudbury. A resident of Hudson for 33 years, he was formerly of Sudbury where he was raised and educated having graduated in the LSRHS class of 1968.
He worked for the MBTA from which he retired after 35 years.? He then worked 13 years for the Berlin Country Club as Head Grounds Keeper.
Bill was an avid golfer and a member of the Elks Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Courtney D. Prendergast of Hudson and Brittany L. (Prendergast) Espinal of Webster. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashlee Thompson, Michael Espinal, and Leland Morris. He leaves behind his brother, Ron T. Prendergast and his wife Anmarie of Hudson, and his sister, Karren E. (Prendergast) Brunetti and her husband Joseph of Douglas, as well as nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m., at the Berlin Country Club, 25 Carr Rd., Berlin. Family and Friends are welcome.
