Hudson – Colton Johannes, 6, bites into a slice of pizza at the second annual HEFfer Fest, a barbecue competition and food festival, held Sept. 7 at the Hudson-Concord Elks Pavilion and field. Guests sampled food from several local eateries and shopped at vendor booths while entertained by live music. Proceeds go to the Hudson Education Foundation (HEF), a nonprofit organization that provides grants for innovative and creative educational programs in the Hudson Public Schools for which local, state and federal funding is not available.
