Portion of Shrewsbury’s Main Street to be closed for two weeks

Shrewsbury-large-web-iconShrewsbury – Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 18 a portion of Main St., will be closed to allow crews to work on sewer construction.  According to Robert Tozeski, the superintendent for water and sewer, the approximately half-mile stretch of road between Founders Road, near Dean Park, and South Street will be closed to thru traffic starting at 7:30 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. The road will then be re-opened for the evening commute.

Tozeski said there will be a police detail present to help direct commuters to detours.
