Westborough large web iconWestborough – The Mill Pond Parent Group is once again sponsoring the popular “Let's Dance” program offered exclusively to sixth-graders who live or attend school in Westborough.

Instructed by Paul Lamoureaux, the program is a series of six classes, featuring instruction in popular dances such as rock “n” roll, fox trot, line dances, and the latest dance trends. Social etiquette is also explained and practiced every evening in a very supportive class environment, including the proper way to ask someone to dance, accept an invitation to dance, and make introductions.

Classes will be offered in the cafeteria at the Mill Pond School, 6 Olde Hickory Path, Monday evenings, Sept. 23, October 7, Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Nov. 18, and?Dec. 2, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Students must arrive by 6:15 p.m. for check-in.?Proper attire is required at every class: jackets and ties for the boys, and dresses or skirts for the girls. Shoes are required – no sneakers or flip flops.

Parents are encouraged and invited to join the sessions as chaperones, and must adhere to the dress code. We will also be looking for food donations for a party at the last class on Dec. 2. Registration for chaperones and food donations is available at www.signupgenius.com/go/chaperones18.

In addition, there are dresses, jackets, dress pants, and shoes available, at no charge, for anyone needing such items.

To register, send a check for $70 to Mill Pond School, 6 Olde Hickory Path, Westborough, MA 01581, in an envelope marked “Let's Dance,” by Friday, Sept. 20. Please put the student's name in the memo line of the check made payable to Lamoureaux School of Dance. Full and partial scholarships are available.
