Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury High School Colonials boys’ soccer team hosted the Leominster High School Blue Devils Sept. 24 under the lights. For the better portion of the first half, both teams traded possession without scoring until Leominster’s Miguel Lopes scored with 9:53 left in the first half for a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, the Colonials came out shooting but were thwarted numerous times until Shrewsbury’s Ethan Melia tied it up with 11:24 left.  Both teams had their scoring opportunities but that is how the game ended, in a 1-1 tie.
