Westborough – St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 3 John St., will hold a yard and estate sale Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be used furniture and antiques as well as a Grandma's attic, books, jewelry and many bargains. Fresh baked good will also be for sale.

St. Stephen's is accepting any quality, non-electronic items for the sale. Items can be dropped off at the church Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

In addition, on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m., members of the community are invited to bring their pets and any animals to be blessed to St. Stephen's. Participants are also welcome to bring a reminder of a deceased pet (a collar or other memento) or a stuffed animal (for children who do not have a live pet).

This annual event is held on the Sunday nearest the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a saint known for his love of animals. The blessing will occur on the parish lawn.
