‘Arts in Common’ celebrates fifth anniversary
Performing for guests are members of the Assabet Valley Chambersingers, an ensemble selected from the Assabet Valley Mastersingers. This regional chorus represents over 25 communities in the Metrowest area.
Westborough – The Westborough Cultural Council’s fifth annual Arts in Common was celebrated at Bay State Commons with the best weather in the event’s history Sept. 28. Throughout the six-hour arts festival, 23 acts presented music, dance and theater on two stages. Over 40 artisans displayed and sold various handcrafted items. Refreshments were available from local eateries.

Northborough resident Mary Dragon of the Country Kickers (front) leads a line dance with students from her classes at the senior centers in Hudson, Northborough and Westborough, and the Bay Path Barn in Boylston.
Playing with the Westborough High School Woodward Quintet are Hannah Schur, a senior, on clarinet, and Ben Feldman, a sophomore, on French horn.

Cooper Often and Jack Biddle, both 5, display a flair for art by painting pumpkins.
Under the direction of Deb Lukey, members of the Westborough Community Chorus entertain with musical selections from Walt Disney films.
