Panthers win with late goal

Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks hosted the Marlborough High School Panthers for a non-league boys” soccer game Oct 5.

Marlborough's Isaque Couto scored first (assist by Marcelo Cunha) about four minutes into the game. The two teams played evenly with the first half ending with a 1-0 Panthers lead.

In the second half, the Tomahawks came out shooting and Algonquin's Nick Speranzella finally tied it with about 16 minutes remaining.?With just over four minutes to go, however, Marlborough's Marcelo Cunha scored on a free kick in the box (assist by Jerson Rosales) and Marlborough won 2-1.
