Northborough Police report no drugs found during search at Algonquin

Algonquin Regional High SchoolNorthborough – Northborough Police Chief Mark Leahy released this statement this afternoon:

This morning at 9:30 a.m., members of the Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit and Northborough Police Department made an unannounced search of Algonquin Regional High School.  State Troopers with drug dogs searched the building and parking lots. No individuals were searched by the dogs.

We are very pleased to announce that no illegal drugs were located during this search. We appreciate the cooperation of Principal Thomas Mead, his staff and students during the brief search.

Superintendent Charles Gobron, Northborough Police Chief Mark Leahy, and Southborough Police Chief Jane Moran commend the Algonquin students for helping to keep their campus drug-free!
