Marston Mills man charged with assault on Shrewsbury woman
On Nov. 2nd, the Westborough Police received a call from the Shrewsbury Police reporting a sexual assault that had taken place on Nov. 1st in Westborough.
The investigation by Det. LeeAnne Baker revealed that on Nov. 1st, a female resident of Shrewsbury was kidnapped by an acquaintance and driven to Westborough. In Westborough, near the CVS store on E. Main St., the victim was sexually assaulted. The vehicle continued through town to Gleason St. where the female was taken from the vehicle and sexually assaulted again. The vehicle then left Westborough and traveled back to Shrewsbury. At Flynn’s truck stop on Rte. 20 the victim was able escape the vehicle and enter the store. The assailant was taken into custody inside the store by Shrewsbury Police.
The suspect was identified as Kyle G. Thomas, age 54 of 114 Lovells Ln. Marston Mills MA. He was arraigned in WDC this morning and charged with complaints from both the Shrewsbury and Westborough Police Departments. His charges in Westborough were:
Aggravated rape 3 counts
Violation of a restraining order
Operating after suspension
DUI 2nd offense
Marked lanes violation
Operating so as to endanger
Assault and Battery
Threatening to commit murder
