Hudson – On Oct. 24, Arlene Room and Laurie Santarpio, members of the South Middlesex Chapter of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women (MAIW), along with Hudson Firefighter Rich Hubert, taught the “Learn not to Burn” program at First Steps Childcare Center in Hudson. They taught the children to “Stop, drop, and roll,” as well as to crawl low under smoke. Hubert volunteered his time to show the children his uniform and antique fire truck. He has taught this program for the past six years with the South Middlesex chapter of MAIW.
