Shrewsbury Police seek suspect in armed robbery at Citizens Bank

SH bank robberyShrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Police Department released this statement this evening:

On Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at 4:21 pm the Citizens Bank located at #539 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury Ma. was robbed. The bank is located inside Stop & Shop. The suspect was alone and approached the teller displaying a gun and verbally demanded cash. The suspect then fled the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. Shrewsbury Police responded and searched the area for approximately 1 hour. Massachusetts State Police assisted also in the search. The suspect eluded police. No one was injured as a result of the robbery. The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 20’s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin fit build, with short brown hair and was unshaven. Suspect was wearing jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with yellow trim.
