Region – Donna Kelleher, president of Next Generation Children's Centers (NGCC), was honored as the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce's 2013 Business Leader of the Year at the chamber's 118th Annual Meeting held Nov. 14 at the Sheraton Framingham.

Karle is promoted to Marlborough Savings Bank branch manager

Marlborough – Marlborough Savings Bank (MSB) has announced that Alise M. Karle has been promoted to branch manager of the Boston Post Road Branch, located in Marlborough. Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily functions of the branch, developing branch business, ensuring exceptional customer service, and coaching employees to reach their maximum potential.

Karle graduated from Worcester State University and began a career in banking in 2008 as a member service representative at Millbury Federal Credit Union. In 2012, she joined MSB as the assistant branch manager of the Post Road Branch, and became branch manager within a year.

Kids invited to Gaston ART to make snowman painting

Shrewsbury – Gaston ART is inviting kids to come to its studio Saturday, Dec. 7 or Saturday, Dec. 14 (10:30 a.m. both days) to create an 8″ x 10″ acrylic on canvas snowman painting. The cost is $15 – all artists must pre-register by calling 508-754-3700. The minimum age is 4 years and there is no maximum age. The project will take about an hour to create so parents are welcome to drop their kids off and do their errands while their kids paint.

Santa to be at the Treasure Chest

Northborough ?The Treasure Chest Company will be participating in Northborough's eighth annual Holiday Trolley event Saturday, Dec. 7. Santa Claus and his elf will be there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their cameras to take photos of their kids with Santa. There will also be hot chocolate and treats.
